Chasing DÁPMUT in Swedish Lapland – movie from FRENZY

by flymag.net

DÁPMUT means brown trout (Salmo trutta) in Sami language.  Couple Guys from FRENZY devised to travel to the North of Sweden. To Swedish Lapland tundra.  A place so far at the edge of the world you have to reach it with a help of helicopter. Completely wild and unspoiled nature, wild wild river is full of insane DÁPMUTs (trouts).  Who are just waiting for you to present in front of them a dry fly. Superb projeckt Guys! A little bit of jealousy from us 🙂  Thanks for great emotions!

From the filmmakers:

Dápmut – Salmo trutta in sami

We went up north to Swedish Lapland for some dryfly fishing in a remote river between Kiruna and the Norwegian Border.
The rain came just a few hours after touching ground with the helicopter and the river became high and cold.
when the sun came back and the hatches were back on, we had good fishing for the rest of the week.

As usual big thank to Hooké for the inspiration and all the good fly fishing vibes.
